Senior Front-end Software Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Frontend Software Engineer to maintain and modernize a browser-based digital twin and inspection platform for industrial assets and operational workflows. The application combines 2D site visualization, interactive 3D/model viewing, inspection and condition data, media, work requests, and operational information. The immediate objective is to bring the existing Vue 2 application and dependencies to a current, stable, and supportable state while preserving production workflows. Longer term, the engineer will help define and execute the path to a current Vue platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and remediate outdated frontend packages, dependencies, and technical debt.

• Develop interactive 2D and 3D asset visualization and complex industrial inspection workflows.

• Integrate with backend APIs, real-time services, authentication, and spatial/visualization tooling.

• Improve frontend performance, state management, rendering, maintainability, and reusable component patterns.

• Maintain production functionality while incrementally modernizing architecture and dependencies.

• Help define the longer-term migration path from Vue 2 to a current Vue platform.

• Collaborate with backend engineers, QA, product stakeholders, and domain specialists.

• Develop and maintain functionality within a large production vue.js application

Required Skills

• Strong professional Vue.js experience and proficiency with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

• Experience maintaining and modernizing mature, data-intensive single-page applications.

• Hands-on experience developing or integrating interactive 3D visualization in browser-based applications.

• Experience with 3D viewers, scene viewers, CAD/model visualization, digital twins, WebGL-based technologies, or comparable platforms.

• Experience upgrading dependencies and resolving compatibility issues in established JavaScript applications.

• Strong API integration, asynchronous behavior, state-management, debugging, performance, and enterprise authentication experience.

Nice To Have

• Experience with Vue 2 and Vue 3, including major-version modernization.

• Experience with Vuetify, Vuex, Vue Router, Leaflet, SignalR/WebSockets, and Auth0 or comparable technologies.

• Experience with industrial, engineering, inspection, asset-integrity, maintenance, or digital-twin applications.
