Key Responsibilities

• Define the regional BD strategy and annual development targets for Latin America, and lead business development across key markets including Argentina and Colombia.

• Lead the full project development cycle, from origination and site control through permitting, investment decision and execution. You will own the size, quality and progress of the project pipeline.

• Secure land rights, leading negotiations and closing land leases, easements and rights-of-way.

• Drive permitting and approvals, and manage relationships with government authorities, landowners, local communities, legal counsel and consultants.

• Lead project screening, due diligence, commercial evaluation, partnership structuring and major commercial negotiations to close strategic partnerships and bring projects to execution.

• Build and manage the local team in Latin America, set objectives and guide team members across land, permitting and community relations.

• Monitor energy policy, power markets and investment regulation in key LatAm countries, and report regularly to management on market opportunities, project progress and business risks.

Requirements

• 8+ years of project development or business development experience in renewable energy or energy infrastructure, including regional management or team leadership.

• Proven track record in Latin America, with at least one project led from early-stage development through to execution. Experience with large-scale projects or portfolios is a plus.

• Hands-on knowledge of land acquisition, easements, rights-of-way and permitting processes, with strong experience in government relations, community engagement and high-stakes negotiations.

• Strong capabilities in market development, project evaluation, strategic partnerships and resource integration. Familiarity with project investment, JV or M&A processes is required, and project finance experience is a plus.

• Project experience in Argentina, Colombia or other LatAm markets is preferred. Knowledge of local power markets and energy investment frameworks, and an established government and industry network, are highly valued.

• Strategic mindset, strong leadership, cross-cultural communication and execution. Able to align multiple stakeholders and take ownership of business results.

• Professional working proficiency in Spanish and fluent English (able to negotiate and report to senior management).

• Based in Latin America and willing to travel frequently across the region.
