An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Analyst to join our Delivery team.

About you We’re looking for a Quality Analyst with hands-on software testing experience and a naturally curious, investigative mindset.

You’ll work closely with our Delivery team to test and validate solutions across our SaaS platform, making sure they work as intended and meet the underlying business requirements.

This role is about more than following a checklist. You’ll need to think beyond the happy path, identify edge cases and unexpected behaviour, investigate when something doesn’t look right, and be comfortable asking questions when something doesn’t make sense.

What’s also important is a solid foundation in software testing, strong logical thinking, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn a complex SaaS platform.

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

• 1.5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, functional testing, UAT, implementation testing, or a similar software testing role

• Experience testing web-based or SaaS applications

• Experience reviewing requirements and translating them into test scenarios or test checklists

• Experience performing functional, regression, and exploratory testing

• Experience identifying, documenting, and clearly communicating defects

• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills

• The ability to identify edge cases, unexpected behaviour, and potential impacts beyond the immediate change being tested

• The ability to understand requirements and assess whether a solution meets the intended business outcome

• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to testing

• Confidence working with conditional logic, workflows, permissions, and dependencies

• The ability to work independently while knowing when to ask questions or escalate

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Experience working within cross-functional teams

• Familiarity with Jira or a similar issue-tracking tool

• A willingness to learn and grow within the ecoPortal team

Experience with configurable SaaS platforms, no-code or low-code tools, form builders, workflow engines, business rules, or customer-specific software implementations would be a plus.

Automation experience is not required for this role.

🔀 We have a great work culture and work/life balance, with 37h work weeks , office hours of Mon-Fri 8am-12pm NZT (Sun-Thu where you are) and the rest of your hours at your own discretion. This is a full-time permanent position and includes 4 weeks of paid annual leave as part of your contract. 🚠 We have some exciting challenges to solve, and your curiosity and ability to think critically will be key to your success.
